Better Safety in the Ontario Workplace

You've probably already started to notice that building health and safety into your business can save you time and money, but did you know that organizational health is a significant contributor to business growth? In fact, studies have shown that healthy and safe workplaces generate 20% more revenue per employee, 4% higher profit margin, and can enhance market value by as much as 16%.

So where do I start and what resources are available to me?

In conjunction with our H&S partner, Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS), the OTDA has developed The Ontario Tire Dealers Association Health and Safety Training Program. The program is designed to be a time & cost-effective H&S program designed specifically for the tire industry.

The program sets out all the basics of health and safety management for business of any size and offers the following resources:

  • H&S legislation and regulation updates and changes that apply to the tire industry
  • H&S training & best practice materials
  • Training courses
  • Updates and advisories

The OTDA Health and Safety Training Program can be adapted to your own needs and resources. You choose the place - and pace of the program to make the most of your training time and investment. A health and safety program that includes good training is good evidence of due diligence, and it is even better evidence of your responsibility and commitment. Take advantage of this training program to secure workplace safety and productivity.

And remember, Everyone's In It Together!

You and your employees are in the best position to identify and solve health and safety problems together. This means owners, supervisors and employees are responsible for health and safety in the workplace. On one hand, you all share in the success of the business, but on the other hand, everyone feels the loss of a key employee.
